The Brewers got to Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto early on Monday night, and a Game 2 win now has them up 2-0 in the NLCS. Teams are historically 8-51 when trailing 2-0 in the League Championship Series. Milwaukee will get a night off before the series shifts to Los Angeles on Wednesday for Game 3.
In the late slate, the Guardians waited out Rays starter Drew Rasmussen before putting on an offensive clinic against the bullpen for a 7-3 victory in Game 1 of the ALCS.
To get here, the Dodgers took down the Braves, the Brewers beat the Padres, the Rays knocked out the Yankees and the Guardians escaped the White Sox. The Astros, Red Sox, Cubs and Phillies were already eliminated in the best-of-three Wild Card Series.
